Agasthiar's Advice

The Siddhas can do anything and everything, but what do they choose to do? They choose to serve God. Is there any greater ambition than wanting to serve God? No, there isn't. Is there anything greater than serving God? No, there isn't. Aspire to be a servant of God. Be a servant of God. When you are serving God, your mind must be thinking of serving God even more. There's no satiation point in serving God. The Siddhas never tire of serving God; they want to serve God more and more. Sri Agasthiar, the leader of the Siddhas and the greatest servant of God, insists to this day that he hasn't even scratched the surface of divine service! He laments of his inability to serve God as God must be served, thus demonstrating to us the correct attitude towards divine service.

Whatever you do, do it in a spiritually enlightened way. If you are a billionaire, be a spiritual billionaire! If you are a millionaire, be a spiritual millionaire! If you're a pauper, be a spiritual pauper! Whatever you are today, is the result of your past karma. And what you'll be in the future will be according to your present karma. So whatever you think, do or say must be done in a spiritually conscious way for the sake of your own spiritual welfare.

You have heard of Doctor of Endocrinology, Doctor of Physics and so on in this world of matter. The Sathguru is a doctor too, but in the world of the spirit. He is a Doctor of Karma and a Doctor of Selflessness, among other things. He has been awarded these titles by his Sathguru and his divine teacher lineage. The Sathguru is the perfect master of karma neutralization and because he has offered his self to his Sathguru and attained perfect selflessness, he's authorized to neutralize the karma of his disciples. This is one of the main roles of the Sathguru. If you follow the instructions of your Sathguru diligently, there's no doubt that you will get your karma neutralized and attain spiritual perfection. When the Sathguru asks you to do something, he generally doesn't explain the karma background. He doesn't have to; he's one with many spiritual responsibilities. But you need to heed his advice and instructions to the letter without engaging in endless research about what he said. The Sathguru will only ask you to do things that are for your own good. Have absolute faith in that. The Sathguru is constantly thinking about your spiritual welfare. After all, that's the reason he's in your midst - to make you as perfect as he is! So execute the Sathguru's instructions with perfect faith.
