Venkatesa Worship Days

Saturdays in Purattasi maasam (generally from the middle of September to the middle of October) are particularly ideal for the worship of Sri Venkatesa, the Lord of the Seven Hills, also known as Balaji and Srinivasa.

In the Pramaadhi varusham (the current year), these days are Sep/18/99, Sep/25/99, Oct/2/99, Oct/9/99 and Oct/16/99.

While every moment of every day is ideal for the worship of Sri Venkatesa, these five days are particularly important.

Pledge your surrender at Sri Venkatesa's Lotus Feet by saying thus:

Sri Venkatesa Charanou Charanam Prapathyé

Renew your devotion to the most munificent One by saying thus: "Sri Venkatesa is my Lord. I'm constantly immersed in thoughts of my Lord Venkatesa."

Vinaa Venkatesam na naathó na naatha
Sadhaa Venkatesam smaraami smaraami
Hare Venkatesa Praseedha Praseedha
Priyam Venkatesa Prayaccha Prayaccha.

Perform selfless service to the poor and the needy with your mind totally centered on Sri Venkatesa.
