Vijaya Dasami, the tenth
thithi following the nine from Prathamai to Navami
marks the culmination of the
Navaraathri observance.
Vijaya = victory. Thus Vijaya Dasami is a day that signifies victory;
the Universal Mother's victory over the forces of evil and negativity.
Vijaya Dasami is the appearance day of Sri Aayur Devi, the Empress of the Universe.
