Sri Agasthiar The Second Vishnupathi of the Vikrama Year - Aug/16/2ØØØ

The second Vishnupathi auspicious time period of the Vikrama year occurs on Aug/16/2ØØØ. The ten hour period from 2 a.m. to 12 noon on this day is of great spiritual importance. As we have pointed out elsewhere in AUMzine (articles 1, 2, 3, 4, 5), spiritual aspirants can make great spiritual progress by following specific worship procedures revealed by the Siddhas for this particular time period. The Sathguru, Guru Mangala Gandharva Venkataraman, has been revealing these Siddha procedures for many years now.

The Vishnupathi auspicious time period marks that time in a different era during which Lord Narayana performed miracles for the sake of His devotees. In this article, we'll describe the Siddha worship procedures for Aug/16/2ØØØ. It's important that devotees not only follow these Siddha practices, but also convey this information to others so that they may also follow these procedures.

Prayer is the solution for even the Great Ones!
Their Divine Majesties, Padmavathi and Venkatesvara, Tirupati The forces of good are opposed by the demonic forces, the forces of evil. These negative forces work against the saints and Devas, who work for our welfare. The demonic forces manifest themselves in many forms; one such form is disease carrying bacteria and viruses. Once this form of attack reached such a state that the resultant high temperatures could not be cured by the best of the saints and the Devas. They prayed to the great Lord Narayana for help.

At the same time, Sri Lakshmi, the Mother of the Universe, was engaged in deep penance. The object of Her prayers was a permament place in Lord Narayana's heart. She could bear separation from Her Lord and wanted a permanent place in Him, a place where there would never be any pangs of separation.

Sri Garuda, the great servant and vehicle of Narayana, was also coincidentally petitioning the Lord in his mind - He wanted to become Narayana's vehicle permanently. He wanted a permanent position in the Lord's service.

The merciful Lord Narayana listens to every one of our prayers. Whether it be a prayer from the most exalted Mother Lakshmi or from one of us lowly earthlings, He listens to our earnest supplications with utmost interest. For Mother Lakshmi, He grants Her wishes directly. For us, He directs the forces in His divine hierarchy to take care of our requests. Thus the Lord is forever engaged in listening to us, but how many of us are interested in talking to Him? Talk to Him in your mind, say the Siddhas. Be engaged in constant communication with Him, they advise us. This is important for all devotees.

The Lord's Answer
Lord Venkatesvara, Tirupati The Lord enacts His leelas (divine plays) in response to the prayers of the great ones. In this particular instance, He decided to bring together the prayers of Mother Lakshmi, Sri Garuda and the saints and Devas to fruition in one unique leela. He sat in Nétra Yoga and concentrated on Soorya, His right eye (symbolicof heat) and Chandra, His left eye (symbolic of coolness) and raised two great jothi forces which manifested themsleves as two divine sandalwood sticks.

He gave them to Mother Lakshmi and instructed Her to make sure that they are propitiated properly. He instructed Sri Garuda that his prayer had come to fruition and that Garuda must support these two divine sandalwood sticks, the jothi force of Narayana Himself, permanently - just as he had wished for. Sandalwood, being a cooling force, has an immediate impact on heat. These two divine sandalwood sticks, being invested with the jothi force of Lord Narayana, automatically took care of the high temperatures arising out of the evil work of the demonic forces. Thus the Lord answered a multitude of prayers in one unique leela.

Tirupati is a piece of Vaikuntam on earth, say the Siddhas. At this great place and in others, Mother Lakshmi resides in the heart of Lord Narayana. Hence sandalwood is applied to the Lord's chest in honor of the Mother to this day in Tirupati. There's a deep connection between sandalwood and Mother Lakshmi, say the Siddhas. As part of Her penance to gain a permanent place in Lord Narayana's heart, the Mother followed many worship procedures. One of these was the application of sandalwood paste to the Lord's form. She sought initiation from the Saptarishis, the seven great rishi saints, for this worship procedure. This is because the Saptarishis are the masters of sandalwood related worship practices. They are the ones who brought sandalwood to the earth from Deva Loka and thus it's important that we invoke them during any worship using sandalwood. Even the Mother followed this rule during Her penance.

The Lord's Chakram The Lord's Sangu Blessed by Narayana, Sri Garuda got a vision of the two Jothi forces of the Lord. But he was not sure that he was authorized to consecrate Them. He once again prayed to the Lord for guidance. The Lord instructed His Sangu and Chakram forces to perform the consecration rites at a suitable place. The jothi forms blazed forth south from Tirupati with Sangu, Chakram and Garuda following Them. When they reached the town of Karungulam in Tirunelveli, Sri Garuda used his yogic power and transformed himself into the Vagulagiri Hill to support the Lord permanently. The two jothi forms settled Themselves on this divine hill. The Sangu and Chakram forces remained airborne and performed the consecration rites right there. From that moment onwards, the unexplainable spiritual power of the Lord of Tirupati and the Mother has been present in the shrine of Srinivasa in this holy place in Karungulam. This divine leela happened during the second Vishnupathi of the Vikrama year in a different era.

The Lord of Honor
Sri Lakshmi Narasimha, the Protector of Devotees The Lord of honor for the second Vishnupathi of the Vikrama year is Lord Srinivasa of the Vagulagiri hill. We should remember that the Lord consecrated in this unique shrine is a part and parcel of the Lord of Tirupati, manifested by the Lord's Nétra Yoga, and personally handed over by the Lord to Mother Lakshmi. The two jothi forms are none other than Lord Narayana and Mother Lakshmi. We should remember that this is a shrine consecrated and worshipped by the Sangu and Chakram forces of the Lord. We should remember that the hill is the very form of Sri Garuda Himself. Sri Agasthiar visits this shrine everyday, say the Siddhas. Sri Soorya offers personal worship to the Lord by bathing the Lord with His rays. Mother Lakshmi's blessings abound at this unique shrine. The Vagulagiri hill is a favorite spot of the Siddhas who are ever present here in sookshma (subtle) or sthoola (concrete) forms.

This shrine is on the road from Tiruchendur to Tirunelveli near the town of Seithunganalloor in the Karungulam village. At the foot of the hill is the temple of Kulasekara Nayaki and Maarthaanda Eesvara. Mother Chandana Ambikai was the first to have a vision of these jothi forms. The vision of these sandalwood jothi forms reduces heat; the heat is borne by Mother Angala Paramesvari who resides nearby. The Siddhas advise us that we should first offer our worship at the Maarthaanda Eesvara temple before we embark on the journey to the Lord's shrine atop the Garuda Hill.

The spiritual potency of the temple pond of Tirupati is mingled with the nearby Tamraparni river near this shrine. So ritual bathing near this shrine in the Tamraparni river is very important, especially during Aavani maasam and Thiruvonam nakshatram days. Those who wish for good progeny should do this and feed poor children with milk paayasam. This is a Siddha solution.

Siddha Worship Procedures
Their Divine Majesties, Lakshmi and Vishnu Observance of the second Vishnupathi of the Vikrama year at Vagulagiri Srinivasa temple is important for those suffering from heart problems, say the Siddhas. They should have a ritual bath at the the nearby Tamraparni river and worship Lord Srinivasa. They should offer five different kinds of rice dishes (coconut rice, sweet rice, tamarind rice, yogurt rice and lime rice) to the Lord as neivedyam and then distribute the same to the poor and the needy.

In honor of the sandalwood jothi forms of the Lord of Vagulagiri, devotees should offer sandalwood paste (that they have ground themselves) to 20 Vishnu temples on 20 consecutive days. On the 21-st day, they should do the same at the Vagulagiri temple. This 21 day worship procedure is a special Siddha prescription for spiritual progress.

Cardiologists should visit this shrine often, say the Siddhas. They should worship the Lord here and then feed the poor and the needy on a regular basis. Those who do this with deep faith will achieve worldwide fame. But they should demonstrate their gratitude to the Lord by offering free medical help to the poor on every Tuesday of every week. This is in accordance with the Siddha dictum that doctors should perform their work as an offering to God, not as a means to accumulating wealth alone.

All those involved in occupations that deal with perfumes, fragrances and scents should worship Lord Srinivasa of Vagulagiri as their very own special deity! This is their opportunity to discharge their debt to the Devas. (All of us earthlings have to discharge three kinds of spiritual debts: one to the rishis, one to the Devas and one to the pithrus.)

Their Divine Majesties, Sree Devi, Bhoo Devi and Lord Maha Vishnu Marriage today, divorce tomorrow - this is no good, say the Siddhas. For a happy married life, celebrate your marriage anniversary day in the august presence of Their Divine Majesties Sree Devi, Bhoo Devi and Srinivasa at Vagulagiri, not anywhere else. Offer a gold mangalyam to Their Majesties and then give the same along with clothes and other auspicious gifts to poor sumangali ladies. If you can't afford to gift gold, give the very auspicious mangalya thread at least, say the Siddhas. This is a simple Siddha solution for achieving a happy married life.

Sri Garuda, Tirupati This shrine solves Naaga Doshas of various kinds. Those suffering from these problems should worship at this shrine.

Those who suffer from inferiority complexes can have their problem resolved at this shrine. Some feel inferior because they are not educated, some because they are too short and some because they lost their hair prematurely. Thus feelings of inferiority can arise from many different angles. First we should realize that our physical looks are the results of karma from previous births. This is the first step in resolving the mental problems arising out of inferiority complexes. Inferiority complex is a thief within; it eats at one from within. So it must be gotten rid of and the Lord of Vagulagiri is the perfect master of this problem. Those who suffer from inferiority complexes should worship at this shrine, particularly on their janma nakshatram days. (These occur in a 27 day cycle and one should worship at this shrine on their nakshatram day.) They should also worship at this shrine on Mondays (Chandra's day). They should also propitiate their pithrus by feeding the poor with rice mixed with snake gourd (a type of squash available in South India). This will free them from the grip of inferiority complexes. Why? Because Lord Narayana is the Lord of pithrus. Any pithru worship done in this shrine is that much more efficacious.

What you find above are Siddha revelations on the worship procedures for the second Vishnupathi of the Vikrama year as conveyed to us by the Sathguru, Guru Mangala Gandharva Venkataraman. These are simple yet powerful karma neutralization procedures. Those who follow the advice of the Siddhas will certainly reap the benefits, both material and spiritual. Let's follow their advice, neutralize our karma and have ourselves uplifted towards the Divine!
