May/29/2ØØ3 Maasa Sivarathri The Sivarathri spiritual event is a great opportunity for devotees to make spiritual progress. Each year there are 12 to 13 Maasa Sivarathris, i.e., monthly Sivarathris. The Universal Mother Herself does Sivarathri pooja for the sake of us all, Her children. Circling the Arunachala Hill during Maasa Sivarathri night is as important as circling the same hill on Pournami full moon night. This is because Lord Arunachala sends one of His siddhas to perform Arunachala girivalam on these nights, thereby giving people the opportunity of doing girivalam along with the Siddha. The night of May/29/2ØØ3 is Maasa Sivarathri girivalam night. On this night, Sri Varanidhi Peruvaazhvu Siddha will perform Arunachala girivalam. Girivalam on this night will help remove poverty in the lives of devotees. The Siddhas advise one and all to perform girivalam on the night of May/29/2ØØ3.
