A Temple Called Tempel 1
A few days ago, the scientific community completed its mission to cause a
destructive impact on the surface of the comet Tempel 1. They achieved this
by releasing from a space vehicle a device specially designed for this purpose.
This device acted like a projectile fired at the celestial body Tempel 1.
The impact of this projectile on Tempel 1 itself was greeted with applause by the scientific community
and by people around the world.
But is this something to be proud of? Not at all, say the Siddhas.
On the contrary, it is a destructive act that must be denounced.
The scientific community will alter its theories about celestial bodies on
a regular basis. This is to be expected since the secrets of the universe
can never be cracked by external investigation. But when this external
investigation is done using destructive techniques, like the one employed
on the comet Tempel 1, that is cause for spiritual concern, say the Siddhas.
Man did not create Tempel 1 and so he does not have any right to attempt
anything destructive on it. In particular, man must be careful not to
try any such destructive activity on any celestial body. The secrets behind
celestial bodies are known to Siddhas, not to scientists. To unravel these
secrets, one needs to study with a Siddha, not fire a projectile on a celestial body.
Celestial bodies are temples. They are homes to numerous divine beings engaged in spiritual practices.
These beings cannot be seen with any external instrument, but only with the internal
spiritual eye. Intruding on celestial bodies like Tempel 1 causes disturbance to these
divine beings.
Firing a projectile on a celestial body is worse than demons like Tataka
throwing rubbish into the shrines of rishis and thereby disturbing the spiritual
practices of the rishis. Applauding the impact of the projectile on Tempel 1 is
the equivalent of demonic hordes applauding Tataka's demonic and destructive exploits.
But man cannot get away with such demonic acts. Just like demons like Tataka and their
hordes had to pay for their demonic acts, people and countries involved in destructive projects like
impacting Tempel 1 and those who applaud the results of such destructive activities will
have to pay. Many a time, such a payment is extracted by nature
in the form of great calamities. In other cases, the physical bodies of guilty parties
waste away just like the physical destructive impact they caused or expressed appreciation of.
Such a karmic payment, now or later, is the divine law.
So the wise man will learn not to interfere with the workings of celestial bodies.
For those who feel remorse and those who think that if only they had known these truths,
they may not have indulged in such destructive activities, is there a solution?
Yes, if the Siddhas believe that such remorse is genuine.
