Sri Agasthiar Sri Ramarjuna Durga

The Sathguru, Guru Mangala Gandharva Venkataraman, has taught us a special Mother Durga worship procedure that he learnt from his divine teacher Siva Guru Mangala Gandharva, Sri La Sri Idiyappa Siddha. This worship is known as Dwadasa Durga Upasana or the worship of 12 Durga Devis.

Of these 12 Mother Durga manifestations, those born under Meena rasi (click here to find your rasi) should offer special worship to Mother Sri Ramarjuna Durga.

Sri Ramarjuna Durga is also known as Vijaya Durga, Paramjyoti Durga and Vijaya Vahini Durga.

The Pandavas worshipped Mother Ramarjuna Durga and prayed to Her to bless them with the fortitude to stand firm in Dharma always and rule in accordance with Dharma laws.

The Pandava Queen, Draupadi, who was born with Durga amsas, was a devout worshipper of Sri Ramarjuna Durga. She learnt this worship from Sri Durvasa Maharishi and was blessed by Mother Ramarjuna Durga at Chandrasekharapuram near the town of Kumbakonam.

Mother Ramarjuna Durga's special day is Vijayadasami, the tenth day of the Navaratri festival. It is Mother Ramarjuna Durga who transforms our punya shakti and bestows it as victory in our efforts.

Sri Durga Devi, The Destroyer of Evil Politicians of all stripes (Prime Ministers, Presidents, Governors, Chief Ministers, Ministers at all levels) and business leaders (Executives, Managing Directors, General Managers, Chairmen) need to function in their respective domains in accordance with Dharma. So they should worship Sri Ramarjuna Durga just like the Pandavas did.

People who work in the fields of space exploration, nuclear energy should also worship Sri Ramarjuna Durga. Moreover, anyone who is involved with the energy and oil industries (electricity, gasoline, diesel, petrol, fuels of all kinds) should also worship Mother Ramarjuna Durga.

The Sathguru advises us to use fragrant yellow flowers and yellow clothes with a checkerboard design in red in the alankar of Sri Ramarjuna Durga.

We should offer honey, sugarcane juice, fruits dipped in honey, particularly jackfruit dipped in honey as neivedyam offering for Mother Ramarjuna Durga.

You can have darshan of Sri Ramarjuna Durga in Shiva temples that feature shrines for Lord Mahavishnu, e.g., Thiru Annamalai, Kanchipuram and others. The Mother Durga in such temples has Ramarjuna Durga amsas. So worhsip Mother Ramarjuna Durga in these shrines.

11 more Durga Devis to be featured soon.
