Pitru Mukti Temple for Ancestor Salvation: Seshambadi Seshasayee Varadaraja Perumal
Sathguru Venkataraman pointed out many important Pitru Moksha temples for the benefit of the world at large. These Pithru Mukti temples are particularly important for all pithru related ceremonies and worship.
One of these is the Seshasayee Varadaraja Temple in Seshambadi that we have written about before.
The kumbhabishekam ceremony was done for this temple in September 2008, but even when it was not in great shape, Sathguru Venkataraman picked this temple for the Vishnupathi of August 2007 because of the inherent holiness and spiritual importance of this temple and this place.
We have also pointed out that Seshambadi is the place of worship throughout this Sarvadhari year (2008 - 2009).
Sathguru Venkataraman taught us that this is one of the most important sacred spots for Karunya Tharpanam.
Readers of our monthly magazine and our Agnisiksha blog in the Tamil language know how much importance Sathguru Venkataraman attached to tharpanam and propitiation of ancestor beings. But over and beyond ancestors, the Sathguru also emphasized Karunya Tharpanam for non-ancestors, plants, trees, birds and animals too as an expression of gratitude and compassion. Seshambadi is one of the most important places for Kaarunya Tharpanam.
