Ganesh Chaturthi and Ganesh Darshan The 4th thithi (of both the waxing and waning moonphase) is known as the Chathurthi thithi and is most important for Ganesh worship. The Chathurthi thithi occurs 24 to 25 times per year. While it is common knowledge that the Chaturthi tithi is important for Ganesh worship, Sathguru Venkataraman gave the world the Siddha secret that the 14th tithi (known as Chaturdasi) is also important for Ganesh worship.
