For close to four decades, Sathguru Venkataraman celebrated the most holy Karthigai Deepam Festival in Arunachala according to the Siddha way as taught to him by his Siddha teacher, Sri La Sri Idiyaappa Eesa Siddha. The most important feature of this celebration is the feeding of thousands of pilgrims and poor people in Arunachala and neighboring villages. This tradition is now being continued by the Sathguru's students.
Every year, the November and/or December issues of the Sathguru's monthly magazine feature special sections that reveal the Siddha secrets of that year's Karthigai Deepam Festival.
