Sri Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple of Visalur
There are many villages named Visalur in Tamil Nadu. The one we are referring to here is the Shiva-Vishnu sacred space near Tippirajapuram and Kumbakonam. It is on the way to Alangudi (the Guru kshetra - Lord Jupiter), next to Tippirajapuram on the road which goes left. It is about 10 km from Kumbakonam and from Alangudi.
This Visalur sacred space of Mother Meenakshi and Lord Sundareswara is one of the special temples for this 2009 Virodhi Year's Sarada Navaratri festival of the Universal Mother, said Sathguru Venkataraman of the Agasthiar Siddha Lineage, in the context of the holy story of Vichitravasu Maharishi.
The NavaJyoti Shakti Navaratri Pooja Sacred Space
This sacred space contains the very special 9 Nava Jyoti Lingas worshipped by the 9 Nava Graha Planetary deities. These Nava Jothi Lingas are in a line in a separate enclosure with Mothers Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati in front of them. This is the unique, sacred Nava Jyoti Mandala Bhoomi, said Sathguru Venkataraman. This is the sacred space where Mothers Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati bless us in front of the 9 Nava Jothi Lingas.
Daily Worship by the 9 NavaGraha Lords
Sathguru Venkataraman added that the 9 Nava Graha Planetary Lords, in their sookshma (subtle) form, worship these 9 Nava Jothi Lingas during their respective horas every day. That is, Lord Guru (Jupiter) during the Guru (Jupiter) horas of every day, Lord Shukra during the Venus horas and so on.
Siddha Solutions for Defects in Hora Time Election
When one elects times for auspicious events such as the precise moment when the sacred mangal sutra thread is tied around the bride's neck, such times should only be in subha horas such as those of Guru (Jupiter), Sukra (Venus), Budha (Mercury) and the Waxing/Growing/Bright Chandra (Moon). But many do not pay attention to this. This results in "horai dosham" that attaches itself to the people involved in that auspicious event, such as the bride, the groom and the people involved in electing the time. And then people ask, "How come the marriage is not working out?" The "hora time dosha" is a foreteller of the outcome.
But what is a Siddha Solution for this "hora dosha" problem? The regular worship of these 9 Nava Jyothi Lingas in Visalur during the day of the concerned hora lord is a Siddha solution, said Sathguru Venkataraman. For example, if the auspicious event was held during Mangal (Mars - Chevaai) hora, then perform regular worship of the Visaloor Nava Jodhi Lingas on Tuesdays during Mars hora.
The Special Nava Jyoti Linga Mandala Bhoomi of Visalur
Sathguru Venkataraman referred to this very special "grahakarshana" mandapa enclosure in the Visalur Temple that houses the 9 Nava Lingas, Mothers Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati and the 9 NavaGraha Planetary Lords (who worship the 9 Lingas) as Nava Jyoti Linga Mandala Bhoomi. It is a Graha Linga Jothi Bhoomi Mandala - an attractor of the 9 graha lords and their shaktis. He said the Visalur Temple is the ideal place to celebrate the Sarada Navaratri of 2009 with the Chandi Homam Fire Ceremony on all 9 days.
The Navaratri worship of 2009 - the Nine Nights of the Mother of Light (Jothi Min-ammai) - will be conducted
by the 9 Nagas, 9 theertha devatas and the 9 nava graha planetary deities
throughout the world, but especially in Visalur.
With the 9 Nava Naga Mani gems, they will worship the 9 Lingas and Mothers Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati in Visalur. It is for this reason the Navaratri of 2009 is known by the special name of "Nava Naga Mani Nava Graha Nava Theertha Nava Jyoti Navaratri."
There was a time when the first nine thithis of every waxing phase of the moon was celebrated as Monthly Navaratri in Visalur. Thus there are 12 Navaratris (12 x 9 = 108 days) per year and the specialities of each of these can be described only by the Siddhas because it is they who are experts in "Shakti Upasana" - the worship of the Universal Mother.
Visalur is that special place where Vichitravasu Maharishi celebrated these 12 monthly navaratris of each year along with Maha Guru Agasthiar over a long period of time.
Visalyapura Vichitravasu Maharishi
Vichitravasu Siddha is also referred to as Vichitravasu Maharishi. Like Narada, he was blessed with the ability to travel anywhere.
He learnt directly from the Nava Natha Siddhas.
