Siddha Worship on 12 April 2011
As instructed by Sathguru Venkataraman, worship with sandalwood paste (chandana kaappu) is offered to Lord Shri Ram on His Avatar Day (Rama Navami) and Lord Shiva on the Sadayam nakshatra (24th nakshatra) day of the Chitirai month.
This Siddha worship has been happening for many years, by the grace of Lord Rama and Lord Shiva, in special sacred spaces.
This year, this special "chandana kaappu" sandalwood paste worship will be in the shrine of Lord Sri Kodanda Rama in Parithiyur, by His Grace.
You can make sandalwood paste too (as described in this link to an article written several years ago) and drop it off in Sathguru Venkataraman's bookstores in Chennai and Trichy for use in these Siddha worship procedures.
Please note that sandalwood paste has to be made by hand with great care as described in the article linked above.
Only sandalwood paste made according to these strict standards can be used.
Sandalwood powders are NOT acceptable in worship.
This point cannot be overemphasized.
