Shrines of Great Siddhas

Siddha Jeeva Samadhi Worship - A Powerful Spiritual Practice

Sathguru Venkataraman, the Master Siddha of our generation, taught us that one of the most important spiritual practices that one can incorporate in our regular puja is daily worship at the jeeva samadhi tomb shrines of great siddhas. Readers of our monthly magazine will know how much we stress this point.

Sathguru Venkataraman taught us that daily worship at the jeeva samadhi shrines of great siddhas can lead aspirants to their respective Sathgurus - the most important first step in all of spiritual life! Sathguru Venkataraman said that every being, human or otherwise, has its own Sathguru and the search for the Sathguru is itself the great quest in the lives of all beings.

Of course, for seekers of material gain, worship at jeeva samadhis of Siddhas can also solve many of the material problems that people want solved. Thus the "material minded" get what they seek, but those who want spiritual uplift will get a true Guru. This is the importance of Siddha Jeeva Samadhi worship.

Sathguru Venkataraman revealed information about thousands of Siddhas in his speeches, books and monthly magazine. Of these thousands of Siddhas mentioned by Sathguru Venkataraman, we want to give you a short list of some jiva samadhi tomb shrines where you can worship and pray. Keep in mind that this is just a short list. For information about other Siddhas and their samadhi shrines, refer to our books and our monthly magazine.

Worship Procedures

Each great Siddha is unique and so also are the specific worship procedures at each Siddha's shrine. These precise worship procedures have been published in Sathguru Venkataraman's books and monthly magazine.

If you don't know these procedures, then do the regular poojas that you do know at these shrines.

Apart from these poojas, remember that Sathguru Venkataraman taught us that offering thick clouds of dhoopam fragrant smoke in the samadhi shrines of great siddhas is very important. So try to do that after obtaining permission for the same from the administrators of these shrines.

Also try to do annadhanam (feeding the poor) and other charitable giving at these Siddha shrines.

Ideal Time?

What is the best time to visit a Siddha's shrine? Specific information is available in our publications, but if you don't have access to such information, please note that Sathguru Venkataraman suggested Sunday as an ideal day for worship at the jeeva samadhi shrines of Siddhas.

But also note that the very moment you think about worshipping at a Siddha's shrine is an ideal moment for doing so! So don't wait! Get started rightaway!
