Ohm. A seeker once asked the above question of Sathguru Venkataraman.

Sathguru Venkataraman's answer: ...will be filled in later... In the meanwhile, please think about what the Sathguru might have said to this person.

Siddha Suggestions for Arunachala Girivalam on May 12, 2010

During your Arunachala Girivalam on the night of May 12, 2010, carry fragrant flowers, natural fragrances such as fragrant sandalwood paste ground with your own hands, sandalwood sticks, manjal (turmeric), kumkuma sindoor, gorochanai, kasturi, attar, punugu, javvaadhu, jaadhipatri, fruits with their own natural fragrances such as cashew fruits, jackfruit, ripe mangoes, etc.

Carry lit incense sticks throughout your girivalam.

On the girivalam path, offer dense clouds of fragrant sambraani dhoopam to Arunachala.

Circle the Arunchala Hill in the midst of such natural fragrances.

May the entire Girivalam Path be filled with such natural fragrances on the night of May 12, 2010.

WHY? Read below.

Special BENEFIT of the May 12, 2010 Sivaratri Girivalam

We hurt others with our spoken word, our written word and with our actions. Sometimes we hurt them physically too.

The net result is serious bad karma that we will have to answer to one day or the other.

This is the inexorable truth and we have to bow down before it, whether we like it ot not.

Circling the Arunachala Hill on the night of May 12, 2010 (according to the Siddha way given above) is an opportunity to silently express our realization of not only this inexorable truth but also of the unagreeable stench of our bad karma resulting from hurting others.

It is also an opportunity to begin the process of substituting this stench with the fragrance of simple, humble purity in daily life.

Those who follow the Siddha suggestions given above will be helped by Lord Arunachala.
