Rama, Sita and how Lord Lakshmi Narayana Manifested Himself Here in this Sacred Space
How did the Blissful Form of Lakshmi Narayana become available to us in this sacred spot in this Kali Yuga (the current age)? To answer this question, we have to go all the way back to the Treta Yuga and to Lord Shri Ram and Mother Sita!
The Nava Natha Siddhas
Ramayana is the blessed life story of Lord Shri Ram.
Just like the blessed Lord Shri Ram is endless, His story is endless too. Thus, there are many Ramayanas by many great rishis and siddhas that extol this great life story and adore the Lord in many ways.
Still, in the infinite story of the infinite Lord, there are Rama and Ramayana secrets that are known only to the Lord and to the Nava Natha Siddhas. Who are the Nava Natha Siddhas?
The Nava Natha Siddhas are 9 very great Siddhas who are direct projections of the Lord Himself. By divine command, these Siddhas are the eternal witnesses of all Puranic events and the ultimate authorities on all Purana (divine epic) happenings.
The Ramayana of the Nava Natha Siddhas
The Ramayana of the Nava Natha Siddhas is what Sathguru Venkataraman referred to as Irudigal Ramayanam - the Ramayana known only to the Nava Natha Siddhas and those blessed by them.
The inner efflugence of the Nava Natha Siddhas is the residence of (Maharishi Maheswara, Kousthubha Purusha) Sri La Sri Idiyaappa Eesa Siddha, the great Siddha who took the form of an old man to instruct the young lad Venkataraman. Thus the close connection between the Sathguru and the Nava Natha Siddhas.
In his lectures and writings, Sathguru Venkataraman often referred to the secrets of the Nava Natha Siddhas in giving us his unique insights into divine Puranic events.
It is one such Ramayana secret of the Nava Natha Siddhas, handed down to us by Sathguru Venkataraman, that reveals the bliss filled arrival of Lakshmi Narayana's Divine Form in this sacred space of Pon Maan Meindha Nallur.
Read, enjoy and be immersed in divine bliss.
"Maya" Delusion, the Great IRRITANT!
The Nava Natha Siddhas tell us about the many sacred spaces that Lord Shri Ram visited, both before His Lanka battle and after. (Note Lord Rama's vow to install 10 million Shiva Lingas that we mentioned in an earlier article.)
Once, when He and Mother Sita and Lord Lakshman were on a pada yatra (pilgrimage by foot) to several sacred spaces, Mother Seetha Devi asked Him a question.
"Tell me, Lord, how is it possible that even when I was with You, I succumbed to the "maya" delusion of the golden deer?"
"Have I not told you already, Sita, that this is the 'maya ensnarement' phenomenon?"
"You have, Lord, and I am happy that I have gone beyond this maya and am in the clear now!"
"Oh, but one can't be so sure, Seetha! As long as one is in the human body on this earth, 'maya' can snare anyone, anytime. It is us who have to be watchful and be on guard every moment of every day."
"Lord, This once again takes me to my question. How did I get trapped by maya? Will you please tell me?"
"To understand Maya delusion is hard. To figure out approaching Maya is hard. But, dear Sita, even if you know Maya, coming out of it unscathed is much much harder!"
